Benteh STEAM academy - Wasilla, Alaska

The Benteh STEAM Academy, the first of its kind in Wasilla, Alaska, is located on Dena’ina land. We provide innovative, hands-on learning opportunities that integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics with Knik Tribal Values for all of Alaska’s youth. While our primary focus is to empower Alaska Native students, every Alaskan child is welcome to benefit from the resources and experiences our campus offers. Guided by the Engineering Design Process—a fusion of critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and Dena’ina ways of knowing—we inspire students to build confidence, explore their potential, and create sustainable solutions for their communities and the planet.
